JustCall AI Voice Agent alternatives

Picks and order are never sold. Paid placements are always labelled Sponsored.

Last updated: 1 November 2026. JustCall AI Voice Agent is a per-minute add-on to JustCall's cloud phone system, not a standalone receptionist. You pay for AI minutes on top of a paid, per-user JustCall phone plan. Our listing records the add-on as: AI Voice Agent add-on, used with a paid JustCall phone plan: pay as you go $0.99/min, or monthly bundles of 100 minutes for $99/mo and 300 minutes for $249/mo. The phone plan is a separate charge: Team $39/user/mo billed monthly or $29/user/mo billed annually, with at least 2 user licences. The six alternatives below come in two groups: phone systems that sell their own AI add-on, and standalone AI receptionists that answer calls forwarded from the number you already have. They come from the AI Front Desk List directory, which lists 282 AI receptionist and voice agent vendors as of today. JustCall's pricing and AI Voice Agent pages were rechecked on 1 November 2026. We publish no star ratings or reviews.

Who JustCall AI Voice Agent is for

It suits a team that already runs its calls through JustCall. JustCall's AI Voice Agent page (checked 1 November 2026) says the agent covers after-hours, weekend and overflow calls, answers from your own documents, books meetings, sends texts and hands off to your team, uses your JustCall numbers, routes by CRM owner and logs every call. It speaks 14 languages and switches language mid-call. The hotel version checks availability and rates in your PMS.

Pricing as recorded: AI Voice Agent add-on, used with a paid JustCall phone plan: pay as you go $0.99/min, or monthly bundles of 100 minutes for $99/mo and 300 minutes for $249/mo; larger bundles quoted by sales; the pricing page says volume discounts go down to $0.15/min without stating the volume. JustCall phone plans are priced per user with a 2-licence minimum; Team $39/user/mo billed monthly or $29/user/mo billed annually.

The pricing page does not say at what volume the lower per-minute rate applies, so we do not compare it with anything. Ask JustCall for the rate at your own monthly minutes.

Trial: 14 days; first 100 AI Voice Agent minutes free per the pricing page, but 30 minutes of agent time per the AI Voice Agent page; no card required. The two allowances come from two different JustCall pages, both checked on 1 November 2026, so ask JustCall which applies to your account.

How to read the billing units

The alternatives bill in different units, so the prices below cannot be set side by side as if they were the same thing:

  • AI minutes: JustCall, CloudTalk, RingCentral and Zoom count the minutes the AI spends on calls. A short call uses little; a long one uses a lot.
  • Calls: Quo Sona and Smith.ai count answered calls, whatever their length.
  • Unique callers: Goodcall counts each different caller once a month, however often they call.
  • Seats: JustCall and Quo also charge per user for the phone system itself. A standalone receptionist has no seat charge but does not replace your phone system.

Pull a month of call logs (calls, minutes and distinct callers) and price each plan in its own unit. Our cost guide explains each unit.

When to look at an alternative

Consider another service if you need:

  • A published monthly allowance. JustCall's pay-as-you-go rate has no included minutes; its bundles do. Each alternative below publishes an allowance in its own unit.
  • AI answering without a per-user phone plan, for example if only one or two people take calls.
  • To keep your current phone provider. A standalone receptionist answers calls forwarded from your existing number.
  • A human backup on the same account.

Tags show who a vendor markets to, not what it can do. We list what each record says it does.

The alternatives, one by one

Quo Sona

  • Why it fits: another phone system with its own AI agent. Our record says Sona answers 24/7, takes messages, answers questions from your business details, transfers calls and sends a text during the call, and captures leads over SMS (free during beta).
  • Entry plan and unit: Included with a paid Quo plan: 1,000 Sona credits a month (~10 calls at 100 credits per call, then $1.00 per extra call with overages on). Optional packages raise the monthly calls. Overage: off by default, so once the credits run out callers go to the fallback path in your call flow; if you turn overages on, each extra call is billed at the package rate.
  • Tier to check: Starter $19/user/mo billed monthly or $15/user/mo billed annually, per user; packages cannot be bought during the Quo trial.
  • Material limitation: our record (checked 1 Nov 2026) says Sona answers inbound calls only, works only inside Quo, and handles English, Spanish and French without switching language mid-call.
  • Confirm: that you can port your JustCall numbers to Quo, and what your fallback path does when credits run out.

Pricing: Included with a paid Quo plan: 1,000 Sona credits a month (~10 calls at 100 credits per call, then $1.00 per extra call with overages on); optional Sona packages Tier 2 $25/mo (40 calls, then $0.75 each), Tier 3 $49/mo (100 calls, then $0.65 each), Tier 4 $99/mo (250 calls, then $0.55 each), Tier 5 $199/mo (600 calls, then $0.45 each). Add-on to a paid Quo plan, priced per user; Starter $19/user/mo billed monthly or $15/user/mo billed annually; Business $33/user/mo monthly or $23/user/mo annually; Scale $47/user/mo monthly or $35/user/mo annually. Overages are off by default (when credits run out, Sona stops answering and calls go to the fallback path in your call flow). Calls under 15 seconds are free. Trial: Trial with conditions (not free). Quo invites you to call +1 (888) 297-7662. Quo Sona listing. More on this product: Quo Sona alternatives.

  • Tier to check: AI Receptionist or AI Specialist.
  • Material limitation: our record (checked 31 Oct 2026) notes that CloudTalk's pages show the price in dollars on one page and euros on another, and does not confirm whether a CloudTalk phone plan is required.
  • Confirm: the currency you will be billed in, whether you need a CloudTalk phone plan, and the rate after the included minutes.

Trial: Free 14-day trial with 50 AI minutes; no card required. CloudTalk AI Receptionist listing.

RingCentral AI Receptionist

When to stay with JustCall AI Voice Agent

Stay if your team already works in JustCall and you want the AI on the same numbers, routing and CRM logging: the agent routes by CRM owner, logs every call and hands off inside the phone system you already pay for. Pay as you go suits a low or uneven overflow volume, and the bundles suit a steadier one. For hotels, the hotel version also checks PMS availability and rates; see our hotels page.

Switching checklist

  1. Number porting or call forwarding. To move to another phone system, port your JustCall numbers to it. To keep JustCall for your team, forward the calls you want answered (after hours, overflow or all) to a standalone receptionist. Keep the AI Voice Agent on until test calls pass.
  2. Human escalation. List who takes a transferred call, at what hours, and what happens if nobody answers. Test a live transfer and a missed transfer on the new service.
  3. Booking and handoff. Decide where a call should end: a booked meeting in your calendar, a CRM record, or a message. Make a test call and check what appears.
  4. CRM logging. JustCall logs every call against your CRM. Check that the alternative logs to the same CRM, or decide who will.
  5. Units. Compare a month of your calls, minutes and distinct callers with each alternative's allowance in its own unit, plus any per-user seats.
