Sameday alternatives for growing home service companies
Picks and order are never sold. Paid placements are always labelled Sponsored.
Last updated: 1 November 2026. Sameday is an AI phone answering and booking system for home service trades, sold on monthly minute plans with a limit on locations: Launch from $449/mo (500 min, 3 locations) and Scale from $789/mo (1,000 min, unlimited locations, voice cloning), with Enterprise priced on request. Overage is billed at the plan's per-minute or per-message rate, which the pricing page does not publish, and API access, custom integrations and multilingual voices are on Enterprise only. It needs no other subscription: it works with ServiceTitan Phones Pro or answers calls you forward to it. The five alternatives below are compared on what Sameday is built around: covering several locations, handling many calls at once, and getting the job into your field-service software. They come from the AI Front Desk List directory, which lists 282 AI receptionist and voice agent vendors as of today. Sameday's pricing, home and integrations pages were rechecked on 1 November 2026. We publish no star ratings or reviews.
Who Sameday is for
It suits a home service company with several locations or a busy dispatch board that wants AI to answer, book and update its field-service software. Sameday's home page (checked 1 November 2026) says the AI answers calls, texts customers, books jobs and updates your CRM in real time, around the clock, and that you can port your number or keep your carrier. Its home services page (read 31 October 2026) says it books jobs natively into ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Jobber, Service Fusion, FieldRoutes and FieldPulse, and its HVAC page says that in a hard freeze "Sameday answers every line at once".
Every plan has unlimited users. Launch includes 3 locations and Scale unlimited locations, and both list "Pro scheduling (ServiceTitan etc)". Sign-up is through a demo, and Sameday publishes no free trial. Its pricing page no longer says anything about contract length, so ask.
When to look at an alternative
Consider another service if you need:
- A published overage rate. Sameday bills overage at each plan's rate but does not publish it.
- More than 3 locations without moving to Scale.
- API access or custom integrations without moving to Enterprise.
- Multilingual voices below Enterprise, which is the only plan where Sameday lists them.
- A trial before a demo. Sameday signs you up through a demo and publishes no trial.
Tags show who a vendor markets to, not what it can do. We list what each record and each vendor page says.

The alternatives, one by one
Avoca AI
- Why it fits: an AI CSR for HVAC, plumbing and other trades that sells the same shape of product as Sameday: answering and booking jobs 24/7, emergency escalation, outbound speed-to-lead campaigns, and call scoring and coaching. Its home page states ServiceTitan Certified App.
- Entry plan and unit: not published; Avoca sells through a demo. Overage: not published.
- Tier to check: ask which plan covers your number of locations and the call volume of your busiest week.
- Material limitation: no public price or trial, and our record names ServiceTitan as its only field-service system. Its HVAC page says it alerts your team about urgent requests without saying how.
- Confirm: that a booking is written into ServiceTitan, how many calls it answers at once, and the price for your locations.
Trial: Not stated. Avoca AI listing. Side by side: Avoca AI vs Sameday. More on this product: Avoca AI alternatives.
LumiTalk
- Why it fits: an AI receptionist with SMS, email and web chat in one platform and a long list of field-service integrations, including ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Jobber, JobNimbus, AccuLynx and Workiz. Its home services page says it writes the work order into your field-service software and dispatches the right tech.
- Entry plan and unit: not published as fixed tiers; a plan builder quotes by channel mix. Overage: not in our record.
- Tier to check: which channels you need, since the quote depends on the mix.
- Material limitation: no fixed public price. Its integration pages (checked 1 November 2026) describe sending the caller's name, phone, email, summary and next action, through Zapier for Housecall Pro and a direct API or Zapier for ServiceTitan and Jobber, on your software's required plan with API scopes; so we do not count it as booking into those systems. Our record does not say how many locations or calls at once a plan covers.
- Confirm: the price for your channels and locations, which connection your software uses, and that a test call writes a work order, not only a lead, into your software.
Trial: Free trial, 14 days. LumiTalk listing.
AgentZap
- Why it fits: published minute plans up to a 1,500-minute Business plan, multi-location greetings and reporting, live agent backup, and a text to the on-call technician on an emergency. Its HVAC page (checked 1 November 2026) says it checks technician availability, books the appointment during the call and "books jobs directly into field service software like ServiceTitan, FieldEdge, and Jobber".
- Entry plan and unit: Starter $109/mo (150 min, $0.85/min overage), billed in minutes. Overage: per extra minute, at each plan's rate.
- Tier to check: a one-time training and setup fee applies, waived on a 6-month Professional term; Enterprise is custom.
- Material limitation: no free trial; our record lists a 30-day money-back guarantee. Its team sets up each integration, natively or through Zapier, and the page does not say which plan each needs; some need extra setup not covered by the setup fee.
- Confirm: whether your connection is native or Zapier, that bookings land in your field-service software, the integration setup cost, and how many calls it answers at once.
Plans: Starter $109/mo (150 min, $0.85/min overage); Professional $295/mo (450 min, $0.75/min); Business $899/mo (1,500 min, $0.70/min); Enterprise custom. $499 one-time training and setup fee (waived on a 6-month Professional term). Fully managed plan also offered. Trial: Not offered. AgentZap listing.
Ansa
- Why it fits: a flat subscription with unlimited calls, so a surge does not run up minutes, with native Housecall Pro, Jobber, JobNimbus and Google Calendar integrations. Its HVAC page says it books the visit on the call straight into Housecall Pro, and its record names an Enterprise plan for multi-location companies.
- Entry plan and unit: Self-serve $297/mo unlimited calls, flat monthly. Overage: none stated; the vendor mentions a fair-use ceiling on Self-serve unlimited.
- Tier to check: Self-serve, Done-for-you or Enterprise for several locations.
- Material limitation: our record names no ServiceTitan integration, and the fair-use limit is not published. There is no free trial; the record lists a 14-day money-back guarantee.
- Confirm: the fair-use limit across all your locations, and how many calls it answers at once.
Plans: Self-serve $297/mo unlimited calls; Done-for-you $497/mo; Enterprise custom. Flat subscription, no per-call overage stated. Cancel anytime. Ansa listing. More on this product: Housecall Pro CSR AI alternatives.
Abby Connect
- Why it fits: human, AI or blended answering, so a person can take the calls the AI should not. Its plumbing page says it connects to ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro and Jobber so a booked job or captured lead lands where your dispatcher works, and that it dispatches the emergency to your on-call plumber.
- Entry plan and unit: Starter $164/mo (50 Abby Minutes). AI answering uses half an Abby Minute per minute. Overage: at the plan's Abby Minute rate.
- Tier to check: each plan's Abby Minutes, counted against AI and human answering together.
- Material limitation: our record does not name its CRM and calendar integrations from the pricing page, and does not say how many locations a plan covers.
- Confirm: how a job reaches your field-service software, and how AI and human minutes are counted.
Plans: Starter $164/mo (50 Abby Minutes); Essential $329/mo (100); Professional $599/mo (200); Growth $1,380/mo (500). AI answering uses half an Abby Minute per minute. Overage at the plan's Abby Minute rate; no setup fee. Trial: Free trial. Abby Connect listing. More on this product: Abby Connect alternatives.
When to stay with Sameday
Stay if you run several locations on ServiceTitan or another system Sameday names and want one AI that answers, books and updates the dispatch board for all of them: Scale has unlimited locations and every plan has unlimited users, and it works with ServiceTitan Phones Pro. Before you stay, ask for the overage rate and the contract length, since the pricing page publishes neither.
Switching checklist
- Number porting or call forwarding. Sameday answers on your ServiceTitan Phones Pro line, a ported number or forwarded calls. Decide how each location's number reaches the new service, and keep Sameday on until test calls pass at every location.
- Emergency and after-hours routing. List each location's on-call rota and emergency rules, and test a night-time emergency call at each one.
- Human escalation. Decide who takes a call the AI should not, at each location, and test the transfer.
- Booking and handoff into your field-service software. Make a test call per location and check what lands in your software: a booked job on the right board, a lead or only a summary.
- Call volume. Ask each vendor how many calls it answers at once, then test with several calls at the same time.
- Units. Compare a month of your minutes, across every location, with each alternative's allowance in its own unit.
